ANACEC Participated in the CEENQA General Assembly Held in Tallinn, Estonia

Chișinău, June 16, 2025The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research (ANACEC) participated in the General Assembly of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA), held on June 13–14, 2025, in Tallinn, Estonia.

ANACEC was represented by Mr. Mihail Onoi, Vice President of the Governing Council, and Ms. Felicia Banu, Head of the Higher Education Evaluation Directorate.

The main theme of this year’s assembly was “The Link Between Higher Education and the Labor Market”, providing a platform for the exchange of good practices, the presentation of recent achievements by member agencies, and discussions on current trends in quality assurance in education.

During the meeting, ANACEC presented an overview of its ongoing activities, recent reforms, good practices, and development opportunities in the field of higher education. Other key points on the agenda included:

  • Presentation of CEENQA’s 2024 annual report, including the general report, financial report, the 2025 budget plan, and membership fees;

  • Election of five new CEENQA members;

  • Election of the CEENQA Executive Committee members;

  • Announcement of the host city for the next CEENQA General Assembly, which will take place in 2026 in Split, Croatia.

The event also fostered open dialogue among CEENQA members on current and emerging issues related to higher education and the labor market. Topics of discussion included:

  • Graduate employment in Europe and labor market outcomes;

  • Higher education as a key driver of national and European competitiveness;

  • The role of Estonia’s OSKA system in forecasting labor market needs and developing relevant skills;

  • Building trust in micro-credentials through quality assurance and transparent information;

  • The digital divide and employability: a call by the European Students' Union (ESU) for an inclusive future.

Participation in the CEENQA General Assembly as a full member marks a significant step in the Republic of Moldova’s ongoing efforts to build a modern, innovative higher education system aligned with international labor market standards.
